Newborn and baby photography for St Neots families
The studio is on the road from St Neots to Cambridge — for most families in town, a shorter drive than the middle of Cambridge.
My studio is in Papworth Everard, on the road that runs from St Neots to Cambridge. From the Market Square it is about fifteen to twenty minutes, and for most families in St Neots that is a shorter, easier drive than going into Cambridge itself.
I have been photographing newborns, babies and families since 2010, and St Neots is one of the nearest towns to the studio.

Getting here from St Neots
Head east on the Cambridge road and turn north at the Caxton Gibbet roundabout: Papworth Everard is the next village. There are no motorways, no city traffic and nothing to find parking for.
From Loves Farm and Wintringham, on the Cambridge side of town, it is quicker still. From Eaton Socon or Little Paxton, allow another five minutes.
There is a parking space directly in front of the studio, so the car seat comes straight from the car to the door. When you book you receive a short guide with the postcode and a description of the door, so nobody has to look for anything on the day.
A newborn session, a short drive from home
The first weeks are the time for newborn photographs, and they are also the weeks when a long journey feels hardest. That is the practical case for a studio fifteen minutes away.
The studio is kept warm for your baby, and there is a separate room for brothers and sisters to play in while they are not needed. The session follows your baby: feeds, cuddles and pauses are part of it, not interruptions.
There are three ways to book it:
- the Mini Newborn Collection — up to an hour, your baby and your baby with you;
- the Classic Newborn Collection — up to two hours, with brothers, sisters and the whole family;
- the Total Newborn Collection — the same session, every photograph, and a heART Fusion film.
Everything each one includes is on the newborn photography prices page.
If your baby was born at the Rosie, in Cambridge, the studio is a few minutes off your road home. From Hinchingbrooke, in Huntingdon, it is about fifteen minutes.
Outdoors in St Neots
Family and maternity sessions usually happen in the fields behind the studio, at the end of the day. But if you would rather be photographed somewhere that belongs to you, St Neots has three places I would suggest.
Riverside Park and Regatta Meadow. Wide, open grass along the Great Ouse, a few minutes from the town centre. It suits family sessions with small children, who need space to run more than they need a view.
Priory Park. Quieter and greener, and a good choice in high summer, when some shade makes the difference between a pleasant hour and a squinting one.
Paxton Pits, just north of town at Little Paxton. Lakes, meadow and woodland, and one of the best-known places in the county to hear nightingales in May. It is the one I would choose for a maternity session outdoors.
Sessions away from the studio carry a small travel cost, and the good evening light books up early from April to October.
Babies, first birthdays and families
The studio is not only for newborns. It is also where St Neots families come for baby sessions — sitting up, crawling, first steps — for cake smash first birthdays, and for family photographs outdoors. The maternity sessions happen here too, in the studio or in the fields around it.
Questions from St Neots
There are photographers in St Neots. Why drive to Papworth?
Fifteen minutes is often closer than the other side of town feels. What you drive to is a studio built around newborns, a room for your other children, and someone who has photographed babies every month since 2010. But look at several portfolios and choose the one you love: that matters more than the distance.
Can you come to us instead?
Yes. A session in your own home in St Neots is possible for newborns and babies; there is a travel cost, and I will tell you what it is before you book.
Our eldest is at school in St Neots. Can we fit around pick-up?
Sessions are normally in the morning, and a fifteen-minute journey is what makes that work: drop-off, the session, and home in time. Tell me the school times when you write and I will plan around them.
Francesca is not only a wonderful and lovely person, but also the quality of her work is absolutely gorgeous. From our very first interaction when she greeted us at the door … to finally receiving the photos, it's all been an incredibly positive experience. … she's also great with babies and kept our daughter comforted and at ease throughout the whole shoot, which made the whole session go smoothly.
